This is partially correct, but a healthy immune system is also comprised of many parts and by its very nature is subject to changing and evolving. When you live a healthy lifestyle and eat healthy foods you’re helping your body to resist disease and infection but you’re also helping your body to change and adapt so it can do so better. It’s not just the food you eat and the amount; healthy habits encompass all areas of daily life.

 

Eating healthy and making sure you get regular exercise keeps your immune system healthy. A poor diet and lack of exercise weakens your immune system and leaves you vulnerable to all kinds of infections. Diets which are low in nutrients and low in variety, like consisting mainly of ultra processed foods and lacking in naturally raw foods, can also negatively affect a healthy immune system, leaving you susceptible to all kinds of diseases. Even foods made with preservatives can weaken immune systems. To keep your immune system working properly, you need to have a healthy diet and lots of exercise.

A healthy immune system consists of several parts including white blood cells, tissues, organs, and other components. These parts work together to fight against foreign and domestic infectious agents and bacteria that cause diseases. Your white blood cells work to fight these pathogens by producing antibodies. You can maintain a healthy immune system by eating a diet rich in vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, proteins, and fiber. You should avoid refined carbohydrates such as white bread and other products with high glycemic index. Instead, choose whole grain breads and cereals, whole grain pastas, and healthy snacks such as dried fruits. The fiber content of the foods helps keep you regular by supplying you with the nutrients you need through your digestive tract and help to cleanse out your intestines.

 

A healthy immune system is also aided by antioxidants found in green tea. Some of the antioxidants destroy harmful viruses, bacteria, and parasites that threaten human health. Antioxidants are found in green tea and can support the production of antibodies that attack viruses and bacteria. The intake of green tea and other antioxidants can strengthen your body’s natural defenses against all kinds of pathogens that invade the body on a daily basis and cause disease.

 

A healthy immune system needs an adequate amount of vitamins, minerals, and carbohydrates each day. A healthy diet should contain fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats, poultry or fish, eggs, dairy products, and green tea. A deficiency in one or more of these foods could reduce your defenses against the common cold and shorten the time needed for you to recover from it. If you are trying to build a healthy immune system, you need to take some precautions. You should limit the amount of alcohol you consume, avoid processed meats, and avoid eating too much sugar.
